The Living Water of Prayer: Susan Skinner Talk at St Rose of Lima

Then he showed me the river of the water of life, bright as Crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:1-2

Talk at Saint Rose of Lima, Murfreesboro, Tn for the Charismatic Renewal Retreat.

Unfortunately the very end was cut off early but I spoke about perseverance in prayer and not giving up.

What a powerful testimony, thank you for sharing. It makes me wonder about the cause of sudden anxiety in a loved one – is this the result of a lie into her heart? Did your anxiety and other issues go away after that supernatural experience with God (after your friend’s tragic death?) or was it something that went away slowly? l don’t think you shared if you are off medication now, but I hope that is the case. God is so good, His love so powerful it can heal us all. Bless you.

    • I would say anxiety for me came from sin being an open doorway for the devil to speak to me, though we know not all anxiety is because of this. Scripture even says Mary had anxiety looking for Jesus and we know in her case she did not sin. Anxiety is both a feeling – which feelings teach us things – and it can be a spirit, especially when it paralyzes you from living. Determining which can be difficult. And yes, I am off medication and have been for about 14 years or so. It was a realization over time and God unfolding everything. I still can suffer from anxiety (the feeling) and sometimes I actually get anxiety if I am discerning bad spirits around a person or a place, but I use the feeling of anxiety to learn and don’t let the spirit of anxiety get a foothold anymore. I speak to God about what it is teaching me.
