You have need of Nothing

Blessed Aleandra Maria Da Costa

And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin,  yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?  Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For it is the gentiles who seek all these things, and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first the kingdom of God[ and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

“So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Mtthew 6:28-33

On Saturday evening March 7, 2026, I went to the Vigil Mass. As I entered into Mass, I had a lot on my mind. I was troubled by the news of war in Iran and the prophecies of World War III. My heart was heavy and I prayed to the Lord to let him know.

As the consecration came, I was overwhelmed by a sense of profound peace and gratitude. The sense I got from the Lord was that there is nothing to be afraid of and that His grace really is enough. I sensed too that God wants us to stop relying on ourselves so much. We try and try to plan and think of future possibilities and this actually blocks us from relying totally on Him. When it comes to planning we need to listen to what He is telling us and not to the noise of the world. He showed me Blessed Alexandra Maria Da Costa. She is a Saint who subsisted on the Eucharist alone without any other food or water. It was not lost on me that the reading was the woman at the well.

but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.”  The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I may never be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water.” John 4:14-15

Though for most of us this is a Spiritual Truth of baptism, for Alexandra, it was literally true. He really is enough. That is what I felt. I recorded in my journal what I felt God speaking to me. If the church says what I have written is wrong, then the church is correct and I am not. Know that as you discern.

Beloved Lily of the Father,

There is so much fear in the world. Do you not know that you have nothing to be afraid of? You cannot be defiled by things on the outside, it is what is in your heart that can defile or sanctify. Therefore, set your eyes always on me. You do not think enough of me. I can sustain you. You need nothing but me. Do not cling to your worldly ways, but surrender all that you are and all that you have to me and you will be in need of nothing because you will have everything of me. You will have your inheritance. A wellspring of living water welling up inside of you, the font of life. You will not hunger or thirst.

You look around and see darkness and evil. I make all things transparent. These things must come. Let them draw you nearer and nearer to me. Never doubt my goodness.

I am preparing you for a New Pentecost. You will do greater things because you will be in my will. Every kind of fruit tree will grow, the leaves will not wither, nor the fruit fail, because you are to be perfected in love. You are a temple. The temple houses me. You are a sanctuary, the river of life flows out. A wellspring of eternal life. Do not be afraid. I say again, do not be afraid. Eat from the tree of life and live. You have been chosen for these times.
