Our Lady Healer of Families – Part II

Our_Lady_of_Sorrows2

Trust in the Lord in the greatest moments of darkness like Mary did.   She said yes to a pregnancy that would have the world wanting to stone her and later standing at the foot of the cross watching love die, her obedience advocated for Resurrection.   Beacon of Hope interceed for us.

I am sickened at the vile reports of Priests and Bishops who abused and covered up the abuse of children.  I say expose the light on the evil that has been done. Let a light be shown on the evil in the church and let it be eradicated.

Today is the feast of the Assumption, one pure soul who was lifted to heaven Body and Soul.  But all I can think of is Our Lady of Sorrows and how much the church, and the world need healing.

I was waiting to print these prayers because I was waiting for an imprimatur from a Bishop.  I have sent the prayers to multiple Bishops, some over a year ago, and I have yet to hear back.  Some of you may remember my original post about this.

I am printing them today for two reasons, one, if there is a Bishop out there who can read it and tell me if these prayers are without error, that is something I am looking for.  Even in the midst of this crisis, I recognize the authority of the church, and I recognize that Satan wants to bring choas to the authority of the church, hence the reason he attacked Bishops and Priests so hard.  I know there are some good Bishops out there still, and if you are out there and you read this, can you let me know if it is without error?

Second, Our Lady gave me this title in prayer, “Our Lady healer of Families”.  It is so apparent now, that not only are our own domestic families hurting and dying, but so too is the church family.  The church needs to root out evil and heal.  She wants to intercede for us, and heal our church family.   She is the road map to Trust in the Lord.

The Litany was re-written to flow better than what was written before.  We have also added a novena.  I will post both prayers here now.  Our Lady Healer of Families, please heal our Church family.

Novena to Our Lady Healer of Families

Day 1 – Our Lady Healer of Families – Daughter of Purity

“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,” (Luke 1:46-47)

Mary, you are the glowing light of purity and a model of virtue for the world. During your life on earth, you emptied out all of your self in order to become a most holy dwelling place for the Lord.  Although you were predestined by the Father to be free from the stain of original sin, you freely chose to live a life of purity.  Thus through your constant devotion to the Father, your heart remained pure in receiving the Holy Spirit in every moment.

Our Lady Healer of Families, we turn to you today to seek guidance. We ask your intercession for all of those who are struggling with purity.  Safeguard them from impurities of mind, body and spirit and protect them from all degradation, corruption and concupiscence.  May their hearts be opened to receive the love of the Father so that He may enrich their love of charity, chastity and right belief.  Daughter of mercy, it is always your desire to loosen the chains of sin in this world in order to bring all souls into closer union with the Father.  Encourage us now, through the grace of the Father, to always yearn for purity, in our own lives, as well in the lives of those we lift up to you in prayer. May we remain ever in this grace so that we may turn to prayer in our weakness, avoid occasions of impurity, be encouraged in our practice of modesty, and keep a constant vigilance over ourselves.

Our Lady Healer of Families Prayer

Oh Most Immaculate Virgin, Daughter of God the Father, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, and Mother of Jesus Christ our Savior, you are the perfect example of human relationship with the Divine Will. Help us, O Most Holy Mother, to heal the broken bonds within our families, our friendships, and all our other relationships. Help us to love others the way that Christ loves us with self-sacrificing love. In particular, heal my relationship with (state intentions here). Intercede for us O Holy Daughter, Spouse, and Mother, so that through the mercy of God, the chains of division will be broken, uniting us once again as you are ever united to the Most Holy Trinity. We ask this in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

(Optional) Pray a Peace Rosary meditating on the 7 Sorrows of Mary and how she demonstrated the virtue of purity through it all Peace Rosary begins with Creed, then One Our Father, One Hail Mary, One Glory Be 7X for each sorrow of Mary.  Concludes with Mary Queen of Peace, Pray for us.

Memorare

Remember O Most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.   Inspired with this confidence I fly unto you, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother, to you do I come, before you I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

Day 2 – Our Lady Healer of Families –  Daughter of Holy Obedience

“For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden.” (Luke 1:48a)

Mary, from the moment of your Immaculate Conception, you emulated holy obedience to the Father.  Each and every day, you obediently emptied yourself, becoming poor in spirit, in order to receive the gifts freely given to you by the Father.  You did not reject any request of the Father, but instead faithfully obeyed and sacrificed your own plans and desires in order to allow the Father’s will to be done “on earth as it is in heaven”. You lived in true freedom because of your complete surrender to God. In this you were given the most precious gift of the Divine Son through the incarnation. As His faithful servant, the Father entrusted the Word made Flesh to your care.

Our Lady Healer of Families, today we seek your intercession for all those with hardened hearts, those whose pride or whose shame does not allow them to obey the will of the Father.  Lead them into closer union with the Father by gently breaking down their barriers, softening their hearts, and allowing them to taste the goodness of the Lord.  Holy obedience is choosing to empty yourself and allow yourself to decrease, in order that God may increase; it means becoming of low estate out of reverence and love of the Lord. Mary, in our efforts to lead others to Jesus, let your example of tenderness be our guide so that we are able to lovingly accept His most perfect Will for ourselves, as well as for those in which we lift up to you in prayer.

Our Lady Healer of Families Prayer

O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

Day 3 – Our Lady Healer of Families – Daughter of Faithfulness

“For he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name:” (Luke 1:49)

Mary, within the receptiveness of your heart lay the fertile ground in which the virtue of faith flourished.  Your love of the Father was deeply rooted in the living memory of His faithfulness to His chosen people.  You trusted Him in all things, even when the fullness of His plan was not revealed to you. When the angel Gabriel asked you to be the Mother of the Messiah, you said YES to the Will of God, thus becoming a spouse of the Holy Spirit.  This meant you chose to trust in the Will of God even when the road ahead was unclear.  Fidelity to the Holy Spirit does not come easy; it is nevertheless filled with the same love and heartache, joy and despair, pleasure and pain of all relationships. Mary, you graciously held on to the unrest that faithfulness requires, without trying to control or fix it, confidently trusting, and thus it led you into a deeper union with the mystery of the Holy Trinity.

Our Lady Healer of Families, we ask that you intercede for us today on behalf of those who are struggling to remain faithful. As the world looks inward to self gratification as a means to lasting happiness, the virtue of faithfulness is becoming scarce in the human heart.  Mary, remind us of the gift of faith that you were so open to receiving from the Father, and of which you so devoutly lived out in your life.  In your complete surrender to the Lord, you never wavered in faith. In our relationships, help us to not only be faithful to the Lord, but to also respect and honor the union of persons that Christ has brought together, whether it be through marriage, extended family, friendship, or community.  May we draw strength and fortitude from the Holy Spirit through our faithfulness to these relationships and may we always seek forgiveness and restoration in order to restore unity in the Body of Christ.

Our Lady Healer of Families Prayer

Oh Most Immaculate Virgin, Daughter of God the Father, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, and Mother of Jesus Christ our Savior, you are the perfect example of human relationship with the Divine Will. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

Day 4- Our Lady Healer of Families – Spouse of Holy Anointing

“For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed;” (Luke 1:48b)

Mary, you have received a Holy Anointing by the Holy Spirit at the moment of your Immaculate Conception.  Free from original sin, you were able to see clearly and understand fully the Truth, so much so that it became flesh within your womb. With every thought, word and deed, your life was lived out in the fullness of the Truth.  Your cooperation with the Father in the redemption of the world, through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, is what we are all called to in our own lives.  May we too seek and pray for the Holy Anointing of the Holy Spirit to come down upon us so that we may participate in the co-redemption of the world.

Our Lady Healer of Families, we ask that you wrap in your mantle around all your children, leading them along the straight and narrow path of Truth and goodness.  May they encounter others whose words and deeds speak and live the fullness of the Truth; who is Jesus Christ your Son.  May the gifts of the Holy Spirit be poured out in abundance and experienced in their hearts, anointing them with the fire of the Love of God.  Give us and those in which we lift up to you in prayer, the courage to walk in the fullness of the Truth, allowing the Spirit to renew in them their desire for purity, holiness and righteousness.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

Day 5 – Our Lady Healer of Families –  Spouse of Unity

“And his mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation.” (Luke 1:50)

Mary, your Immaculate Heart was perpetually united to the Holy Spirit in all things, which allowed you to live humbly in the fullness of the Divine Will. Through a life devoted to prayer and devotion, the Holy Spirit found a most perfect dwelling place within your Immaculate Heart.  You continually went to the Father in every need and circumstance of your life so that the Wisdom and Council of the Lord may lead you. You placed your trust in the Lord, praising Him and glorifying Him in all things.

Our Lady Healer of Families, we beseech you today, to intercede on behalf of those who are experiencing division in their relationships. Rekindle the Flame of Love in them so that they may be able to look outside of themselves, seeking the good of the other, no matter what the cost. Queen of Heaven, you live now in Heaven body and soul, but your hand is ever-extended to your children here on earth, interceding on our behalf, placing yourself in perpetual service to us in our need. You are ever-leading us to perfect union with your Son, Jesus Christ, Our Savior and Our Lord. May our lives be a model of yours, which was lived in perpetual service to others, so that through love of neighbor, we may share the light of Christ to the world.

Our Lady Healer of Families Prayer

O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

Day 6 – Our Lady Healer of Families –  Spouse of Hopefulness

“He has shown strength with his arm, he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts,” (Luke 1:51)

Mary, you willingly became the spouse of the Holy Spirit, which was necessary for the salvation of the world.  Filled with the grace of God, you remained hopeful despite the many struggles you endured as a result of your intimate relationship with the Trinity.  It was your virtuous confidence in God that allowed you to patiently wait for the promise, in joyful hope, demonstrating your unending trust in the work of the Holy Spirit in your life.  We too are called to this same fidelity to the Holy Spirit through our union with the Divine Will.  When we cling to the hope of the resurrection, despite the challenges that may ensue, the Holy Spirit is able to find a dwelling place in our hearts in which to live and move and breathe life.  It is this hope that keeps us on the straight and narrow path, for it enriches our hearts and leads us into closer union with the Father.

Our Lady Healer of Families, today we seek your intercession for all who are struggling with despair and how to remain hopeful. We pray that they receive the grace to turn their hearts to the Lord, and wait in faithful hope of His promise; the promise of true and lasting peace, love and joy.  Our human nature desires immediate gratification, especially in times of struggle.  We pray that our hearts, and the hearts of those in which we lift up to you in prayer, will be strengthened through heavenly hope, and as a result will receive the gift of patience.  Mary, we also seek your intercession for all the restless souls who look to the world to give them peace.  Gently reveal the light of hope to all the world.

Day 7 – Our Lady Healer of Families – Mother of Humility

“He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree;” (Luke 1:52)

O Most humble of hearts, Mary, our everlasting virgin and mother. Through your profound humility, God looked upon you with favor.  You offered your body at the Incarnation to be the Mother of the Son.  The Father benefits nothing from the most gracious acts of this world, but exalts only those deeds humbly done in union with the Divine Will.  Mary, you allowed yourself to remain in a state of humility through your perpetual emptying of yourself.  In union with the Divine WIll, you realized that God was working through you in a very powerful way and all of your deeds were done through the glory of His name.  It was through your very lowliness, that you were exalted.

Our Lady Healer of Families, we seek your intercession for all those who struggle remaining humble. You have gifted these souls with the fire of your passion, but we ask today that they not run away from humility, but instead embrace it and allow it to lead them into closer union with the Lord.  For when we attempt to exalt ourselves, we will be humbled, but when we humble ourselves, we will be exalted.  Mary, pray for us and for those in which we lift up to you in prayer today, in your tenderness, teach them your ways.  May they receive sufficient graces in order to be able to accept humility when it is being asked of them and embrace it as a means of closer union with the Father.

Amen.

Day 8 – Our Lady Healer of Families – Mother of Charity

“He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away.” (Luke 1:53)

Mary, you made space for the Spirit of God to live and dwell in you through the perpetual self-emptying of your own desires. You lived in a state of hunger and thirst for the Lord, which allowed you to fully receive the gift of Charity from the Father.  This gift was never contained by you for your own glory, but it overflowed in you and poured out upon your neighbor.  During your Son’s passion and death, Jesus received back from you this gift of charity in the form of steadfast compassion. Through your Most Sorrowful Heart, charity reached its fullness at the foot of the cross and was poured out of you upon the whole world.

Our Lady Healer of Families, today we seek your intercession for those who are holding on to feelings of anger and unforgiveness, whose hearts are uncharitable.  As the world glorifies the preoccupation with self, we ask that you give us an abundance of compassion so that we may reach out to others who are in need of your loving support.  May they turn to the Lord to find peace… the peace that they are so desperately seeking, but that the world cannot give them.  May their hearts be filled with charity, so that the gifts of the Holy Spirit that they have been given will be shared with their neighbor in perfect harmony.

Amen.

Day 9 – Our Lady Healer of Families – Mother of Mercy

“He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity for ever.” (Luke 1:54-55)

Mary, you perpetually recognized your humble relationship to the Father, your Creator, from whom you were loved into existence and given the gift of life.  You remained in right relationship with the Father throughout the entirety of your life, humbling yourself before the Father and keeping your eyes fixed on Him in all things.  With a heart and soul so full of grace, you saw the world and all of creation, all of humanity, through the merciful eyes of Christ.  This free and perfect sharing of God’s love, brought about harmony and unity in all of your encounters.  Infused with the mercy of God, every choice you made, every thought and act of your will, was done in union with the Merciful Father, thus it was all done with great joy and love.  You stand as a perfect witness to the freedom that comes from being deeply rooted in Divine mercy.

Our Lady Healer of Families, today we seek your intercession for all the souls who turn away from the mercy of God, as well as those who believe themselves to be not worthy of His mercy.  Mary, intercede for them at this time so that whatever hurts or unforgiveness they are carrying in their hearts may be washed clean through the ocean of mercy that is available to each one of us through Christ Jesus. Guide also the souls of those who measure their dignity by the standards of the world.  Help them to realize their inherent dignity, which comes from knowing that their worth can be seen in the eyes of God, their creator and their Savior. Mary, many of your children are broken, they are tired, and they have wandered far away from your Son.  They are desperately yearning to feel the love of the Father in a real way.  Pour out heavenly graces upon them and lead them to your Son, who is Love.  May all of our deepest desires be quenched by the source of everlasting life, who is Jesus Christ.
