Ya’ll, my friend had an amazing miracle happen to her during her religious education class on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.
My friend teaches 5th grade religious education. She always begins her class with a procession into the classroom with a bible, crucifix and a lit candle.
She and kids placed the items on the table in the classroom and prayed together. Then they sat down and she began teaching them about prayer.
A little while into the class a boy noticed that the candle on the table had gone out.
My friend went and grabbed it and said, “yes it has.” She took the opportunity to talk about the Sanctuary Candle that is lit next to the tabernacle in our churches.
She held up the burnt out candle but explained that when you see a lit sanctuary candle it means Jesus is present in the tabernacle and you should always be reverent and not nonchalant or ignore Jesus.
She said you should imagine that Jesus is standing there and that we should acknowledge him with a genuflection, sign of the cross, and prayer.
And you guys…. when she said this…. THE CANDLE RE-LIT INTO A BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT, larger than it had been originally!
The co-teacher and children exclaimed that they had just witnessed a miracle. 7 kids and two adults all saw the candle re-light! I kid you not!
GOD IS SO GOOD.

What a great miracle
I have mentioned in the past that I am involved in Men’s Ministry here in Australia.
I have been hearing lately from a few men, that they feel so burdened/disillusioned by what has been happing in the church, not only here in Australia but world wide, including what’s has come out of Pennsylvania.
I tell them, that now is a great time to be Catholic, just focus on JESUS and he will show us the way/light the way.
The Harvest is GREAT but the labourers are few.

Yes it’s time for us to rise up as Saints. We taught church history in my RCIA class last week. My catechist was using his notes from previous years. He kind of smiled as he began because he had written in bold several years ago “Don’t be surprised by those in the church causing scandal.”. He pointed out that when scandal happened in the past it was when our greatest Saints rose up.
Susan, thank you very much for this sharing. I shared it immediately with the family. Even though we are cradle Catholics, there are still many things we do not know and this post taught us yet another thing about the Sanctuary Candle. I truly believe in that miracle and rejoice with all because my family has witnessed a similar miracle in a different setting. As the skies of our lives begin to darken, Jesus~Lights are beginning to light up all over the world.
