I am Raphael, one of the seven holy angels who present the prayers of the saints and enter into the presence of the glory of the Lord. Tobit 12:15
I wrote this prayer today after reading the book of Tobit. It struck me that Saint Raphael was helping to heal family generations and to facilitate marriage.
Prayer to Saint Raphael the Archangel
Saint Raphael the archangel, defender of the righteous, protect and heal our families and our marriages as you protected Tobias, defended Sarah, and healed the blind Tobit, in a world filled with turmoil. Assist also those family members who are seeking a Godly spouse.
Intercede for us and help us to the see the ways we are blind to one another, healing our relationships.
Oil of God, lover of the works of mercy and of morality, soothe our wounds. Bind Asmodeus and all the evil spirits of perversion, immorality and death, sending them fleeing into the fires of hell never to return to our families again. Saint Raphael, bring our prayers to the Most Holy Trinity who we praise and thank all the days of our lives. In the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I have a son who had a good career, at the age of 35 (3-1/2 years ago) decided he was called to become a priest. I think our individual churches have forgotten about our seminarians and that they NEED our prayers every day, along with our precious priests! They all need our prayers.

SUSAN! Lovely prayer. Did you know that this coming October 24 is the feast of St. Raphel in Advent 1969 Roman Calendar? The Collect is this:
“O God, who sent the Archangel Raphael to accompany Your servant Tobias on his journey: grant that Your servants may always be protected by his guardianship and defended by his aid. This we ask of you through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever. Amen.”
It has a lovely office that may be found in English in the Baronius Breviary or the old Collegeville Breviary. When they lumped Gabriel and Raphel together with Michael on Michaelmas (September 29) the special focus of these individual days was lost. This feast allowed a special look at the book of Tobit.
