Prayer for healing in families

mary-and-trinity

When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.”  Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. John 19:26-27

Just a quick note this evening.  Lately a lot of people have been coming to me with trouble in their families.  I wrote this prayer today for healing in families.  We can find help from Our Lady.  Here is my prayer;

Oh Most Immaculate Virgin, daughter of God the Father, spouse of the Holy Spirit, and Mother of Jesus Christ our Savior, you are the perfect example of familial relationship with the Divine Will.  Help us, O Most Holy Mother, to heal the broken bonds within our families.   Help us to love our parents, our children, our spouses, siblings and our extended families, the way that Christ loves us with self sacrificing love.  In particular help to heal my relationship with (state intentions here).  Intercede in our relationships so that God may break the chains of division and we can rest with the Most Holy Trinity as you do.  We ask this in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.

    Thank you for this prayer. We also struggle with what seem to be irreconcilable differences in our immediate family. I will use this prayer and trust in God’s infinite love to heal us.

  2. Michael says:

    Sat the Traditional Family Rosary, Together as much as possible. The Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries.

    • We do. My parents, my husband, my kids and I. I am not opposed to the Luminous Mysteries as we get the revealing of His Mother at the Wedding at Cana. The Proclaimation of the Kingdom which needs desperately to be done and we hear about the Institution of the Eucharist. You can hear about my husband’s transformation as a convert in “Miracles and the Mother of God” post. He was transformed by the traditional Rosary.

  3. John Laperuta says:

    The Luminous mysteries are indeed very good to meditate on and focus on very important gifts and pillars of our faith..Jesus’ baptism(This is my Son with Who I Am well pleased)The wedding at Cana(Marys intercession and her words regarding her Son..Do whatever He tells you)The proclamation of the kingdom of God(Beatitudes)..the transfiguration..Jesus reveals His Divinity and Glory and the Father says “Listen to Him)..the Institution of the Eucharist..which needs no explanation..how can one not accept or appreciate this gift added to the Rosary by a now proclaimed and recognized saint?
